    Kristin Cast is the 19-year-old coauthor of the House of Night series for Young Adults with her mother, P.C. Cast.
    In November 2008, Variety reported that producers Michael Birnbaum and Jeremiah S. Chechik had obtained an option to acquire the motion picture rights in the House of Night series. Currently Kristin attends college in Oklahoma where she is focusing on attaining her dream of opening a no kill dog rescue shelter in midtown Tulsa.
